Starlace Doily Clock

Ever seen a lace doily clock?  Now you have!

Fancy owning a clock the likes of which no-one else will have, then this is for you.

This clock has been created from a doily pattern, not your standard twee doily anymore is it?

Crocheted in pure white crochet thread, the open lace work allows the decor of your walls to be visible while at the same time creating lace shadows for added visual interest.

This lace clock measures 9″/23cm in diameter.

Each hour has been marked by a small crochet circle of high contrast black thread with a slightly larger circle to denote the 12 position.

The hands are in a matching high contrast black with a silent sweeping second hand is in bright red, again creating another high contrast.

Each hand is separated from its neighbour  so they will not rub on each other as they pass.

The clock takes one AA battery which is included.

If you like this item but would prefer your lace clock to be in a different colour then please do not hesitate to contact me as I will gladly make a bespoke item just for you.

What type of scarf do you prefer?

If it is a long scarf, the longer better, then the Granny Stripe may be for you.

This crochet scarf is long, it measures 94.5″/240cm!

Because it is so long the scarf can be worn in a number of ways, the folded keyhole style, wrapped around and then knotted or just loosely wrapped around a couple of times, the choice is entirely yours.

This handmade scarf is very warm as it has been crocheted from gorgeously soft acrylic yarn that is both durable as well as easy to care for, this scarf can be machine washed on a 30 degree delicate/wool cycle.

If you like this item but would prefer it another colour, for example school/university colours then please do not hesitate to get in touch as I can make any item to order.

What kind of scarf person are you?

Do you prefer the smaller, neater type of scarf?  If so then the Mossburn Circular Crochet Scarf is for you.

The Mossburn Circular scarf has been designed and hand crocheted by Loves a good yarn. It is small circular scarf that will easily slip over your head but is just enough to fit in the neck of your coat and keep out any drafts without being too bulky.

The fabric of this scarf has a lacy open flexible nature, it is not too lacy so it will still be warm yet the fluidity of the fabric means it will not feel tight and uncomfortable around your neck.  Each end has then been finished off with a corded effect stitch to complete the design of the piece

Made from wonderfully soft acrylic yarn it will be both warm and durable as well as easy to care for as it is fully machine washable on a 40 degree delicate/wool cycle.

The Mossburn Circular scarf measures 27″/68.5cm around and is 8″/21cm deep.

If you like this item but would prefer it in another colour then please contact me as any item can be made to order.

Helloooo,

IMG 7982 400 Copy 300x225 Crochet 366 Day 137 Lacy Diamond

Here is today’s square, Lacy Diamond Square.

Quite an effective looking square, could use any number possible colour combinations in this one, I went with shades of purple.

This is another US pattern so US terminology is used throughout, here are the instructions for Lacy Diamond.

I worked as per pattern then repeated Round 8 again before doing Round 9, this made it slightly larger than 6″ – oops!

Hello again,

Today’s square, the V-Star square is an easy and effective square to crochet.  I used 3 colours as in the pattern but it would look light and lacy in a one colour or very vibrant in multi colours.

The pattern instructions are available on Ravelry (free membership, just need to register) and can be found as V Star Square.

I worked as per pattern instructions, the designer used Aran weight yarn and created an 8″ square but with DK yarn it easy to get a 6″ square without any alterations.

Hello crochet square fan!

IMG 7989 400 300x225 Crochet 366 Day 130 Its Wheely a Square

Today’s square comes all the way from New Zealand, I found this square on Ravelry but the link is to her own site so all good!

This was a simple and easy square to make, it has been written in both Us terminology and UK terminology, just scroll down for the UK version.

The colours I used for this square make me think of chocolate and banana, funny what happens when you go stash diving isn’t it.

Here is the link for Its Wheely a Square,  I worked as per pattern and repeated Round 5 once more before working 2 rounds of UK dc to bring it up to size.
