Hello and welcome to Loves a good yarn! Where the vintage art of crochet meets modern design.
My name is Pam and I set up Loves a good yarn! to sell the crochet items I was making after falling in love with this particular yarn craft. I have been able to knit since a very young age as both my mum and my nan were hand knitters. I have knitted on and off for most of my life but a number of years ago I needed to make a crochet chain to complete a knitted toy that I was making….that was it, down went the needles, I picked up a crochet hook and never looked back.
I find it endlessly fascinating that just by placing a hook and twisting a yarn thread in a particular order, you can create fabric that ranges from dense, warm and cosy to light, airy and ethereal and that you can use this fabric to create anything from clothing to home-wares.
I endeavour to make as many sizes and colour options as possible on the items I sell, however if you like something but would prefer another colour, then please do not hesitate to contact me as bespoke orders are always welcome.
Everything I sell is made by hand in my smoke free home. I do however have pets so if you would like to purchase something, either or yourself or as a gift and are aware of a pet allergy then I will happily make you an item to order in a pet free home (my mothers).
